Co-Founders
George and Gordon Jacobs are co-founders of the Davidson Clergy Center.
Born in Ohio, George is a graduate of Centre College, Danville, Kentucky, Princeton Theological Seminary, Princeton, New Jersey, and is a Ph.D. candidate at the University of South Carolina in Columbia. A former Presbyterian pastor, George served fifteen years in the parish and with his church, and received numerous awards for community service. He has written articles on faith and society and co-authored Solving Psychiatric Puzzles with V. Sagar Sethi, MD, Ph.D.
Gordon grew up in Kentucky and is an art and art history major from Centre College of Kentucky. She worked in the graphic arts field and was a secretary/graphics specialist for Trinity Episcopal Church, Princeton, New Jersey.
Physical fitness and sports continue to be an important part of their lives. Both former competitive swimmers and coaches, George and Gordon remain active in swimming and tennis, as well as aerobic and strength training.
