Planning
Once you have registered for a specific week for the Five-Day Program, it is good to schedule your travel arrangements as soon as possible. We will be happy to assist you with any part of your plans.
As part of the Charlotte metro region, Davidson is closely accessible from Interstate highways I-77 and I-85.
The Charlotte-Douglas International Airport is a 25-30 minute drive to Davidson and it serves all major airlines. Clients have found the rates to Charlotte very affordable from throughout the nation.
As the Five-Day Program begins early Monday morning, participants have found it helpful to arrive by Sunday evening. Travel agents and internet sites are often useful in finding the most convenient and affordable flights as well as reserving a rental car. For convenience, it is best to research and book your flight at least two weeks prior to your arrival.
If you do not wish to rent a car while you are here, DCC will assist you with shuttles to and from the airport (for departing and arriving flights before 8:00 PM). Some hotels may also arrange a shuttle.
As the workout facilities, restaurants, and shops are within walking distance of the DCC, a rental car is not necessary. However, you may wish to have a car to explore the many Charlotte-metro offerings, including cultural or sporting events, evening shopping and dining.
By Car
From I-85
Take I-85 Exit 55 (Concord - Huntersville Sign) onto NC-73 West toward Huntersville and Davidson.
Follow the NC-73 (West) after exiting I-85. Jog to the right at 8.4 miles, follow the Davidson signs and drive through town until you reach the intersection at Main Street.
Turn left on Main, DCC is .4 miles on the left. Parking is available at the rear of the building.
From I-77
Take I-77 Exit 30 (Davidson - Davidson College Sign).
Turn East onto Griffith Street and toward downtown Davidson. Turn right at Main Street (NC-115) and proceed on Main Street (South) past the college and through the village.
The DCC is .6 miles on the left. Parking is available at the rear of the building.
Air Travel
The Charlotte Douglas International Airport hosts all major airlines and is a hub facility for US Airways.
If renting a car, turn left at the airport exit onto Billy Graham Expressway. Turn right on I-85 north toward Concord. On I-85, merge right onto I-77 North, and then follow the directions for I-77 above.

There are numerous hotels and inns within a brief driving distance of the DCC. We have arrangements with several of these to receive our guests at reduced rates (breakfast is included). Please be sure to tell the reservation clerk you are with the Davidson Clergy Center.
